A pair of performance Pedders Pre-assembled standard uprated front suspension struts with Coils and Gas shocks built up ready to bolt on to the vehicle with uprated Pedders top suspension mounts for the Hilux Surf 185 & Land Cruiser 90 Series

This pre-assembled front strut kit is perfect for hassle-free installation. The struts are handed LH & RH with top mounts positioned accordingly ready to bolt in.

These new struts offer those customers that don't wish to lift the truck but want something a little firmer than standard. With an increase in wire diameter up to 17mm, these front coils have a spring rate of 605 lb/In.
Fitting Tip - Only torque the lower shock bolt when the weight is back down on the vehicle - NOT when the suspension is hanging down.

  • x2 Front Gas Shock Absorbers - Pedders Trak-Ryder 9100 Series
  • x2 Front Coil Springs Standard Uprated - Pedders - Black - 605 lb/In.
  • x2 Pedders Uprated Front Top Mount

All Supplied pre-assembled ready to bolt on to the vehicle as per our images.

Outstanding quality uprated coil springs manufactured by Pedders from Australia, Modern CNC manufacturing guarantees a constantly high-quality product and a perfect fit in the spring seat. Every Pedders coil spring undergoes tests consisting of metallographic investigations, the mechanical material testing, and long life tests.

Uprated built struts help maintain a better handling and overall control. These pair of struts fit on the original suspension set up (which was also gas on the front). 
They do not have the Hard/Soft ride adjustable function but will replace that setup if fitted.

  • As with all suspension shocks/coils supplied, paint is not covered under warranty due to the very nature and position of the component.

Questions & Answers for Pedders Standard Uprated Front Suspension Struts (PRE-ASSEMBLED)


Do I need any other parts to fit these front struts?
Providing all bolts are free, then no, they simply bolt straight in, and as RoughTrax has set the top mount alignment then fitting is made easy. Being built and pre-assembled, then fitting costs will be less as you won't have to pay the labour costs to assemble the struts, most mechanics will also prefer the fact that they come ready assembled.

Do I need the front wheel alignment checked afterwards?
The simple answer is yes, however, you should have your wheel alignment checked after any major suspension, albeit these are standard ride height components.

What's the ride like once fitted?
The coils and shocks will firm the ride giving extra stability and reducing body roll so whilst there will always be a difference in ride, the shock absorbers are designed to control the spring rate providing a controlled feel to the front suspension.
Personally, I love it! handling into roundabouts is so much more positive and responsive!

How long do they take to fit?
The beauty about these Pre-assembled struts is that a lot of the fitting and need for heavy duty compressors has been taken out of the job. When we fitted our front lifted struts they took around 1.5 hours to fit, of course, this can vary depending on how the other components dismantle.

Any tips?
The main lower bush mounting bolt must only ever be tightened to its torque when, the vehicle is sat back down on the ground for example, i.e with the weight on.
If the bolt is tightened, for example on a ramp with suspension hanging, then when the vehicle is lowered and the weight applied, the bush is instantly twisted and of course, over time will crack and fail.
