The Brand New 2016 Toyota Hilux Pickup is coming!
After years of speculation a New Hilux was just around the corner and still no definitive date of when the UK will see the latest Hilux in a showroom near you. We can now expect to see them arrive no later than February 2016!
Toyota has already unveiled the eighth-generation Hilux pickup truck in Thailand with a slightly unique name much like the VIGO it will be called the Hilux Revo, Australia will see the New Hilux arrive in October 2015.
While the current Hilux Pickup is only available in certain markets, the NEW 2016 Toyota Hilux is planned to be a Global model meaning that it will be for the first time introduced in the USA. This would mean that the current Tacoma will no longer be produced. Toyota hasn’t officially announced this yet but we are expecting them to because the new Hilux is bigger, more powerful and also much more fuel efficient than the previous generation.

- Chunky built in wheel arch extensions.
- LED Running lights around the top of the headlights.
- Redesigned front bumper & huge upper grille
- Longer & wider rear bed.
- Longer rear leaf springs for better ride comfort.
- Newly developed chassis and suspension
- Keyless entry & keyless engine start.
- Newly developed ESTEC 2400cc and 2800cc GD turbo diesel engines running nearly 180BHP.
- Increased towing capacity up to 3.5 tonnes and payloads of up to 1240kg.
- New five & six-speed manual, automatic & selectronic transmissions
- Extended cruising distance enabled by improved fuel efficiency.
- Brand new audio with electrostatic multi-touch control panel & 4WD changeover switch.
As a result, the new Hilux features improved ride comfort, a quiet cabin and enhanced cruising range thanks to improved fuel efficiency. The 2016 Toyota Hilux also features a newly developed engine, chassis and suspension, with upgraded leaf springs and shock absorbers.
