Automechanika Frankfurt Show 2016

Automechanika is the world’s largest independent automotive trade fair for the automotive industry, holding 16 events in 15 Countries every year. Every two years, the trade fair rolls into Frankfurt in Germany and this year was by far the largest, ever!

The fair is the shop window for the automotive market across the entire industry. Here is what just one of the halls looks like from the outside;

A staggering 170 countries are represented by a record 4,820 exhibitors, in more than 11 enormous halls. That covers nearly 600,000 square meters. It’s so big that they even have travelators between halls, internal buses and electric rickshaws on the ground ferrying everyone around. You really cant explain the enormity of this place.

The show brings together every aspect of a vehicle. The layout of the halls are split into categories such as parts & components, accessories, electronics, mobility & repair & maintenance.

Here's what we got up to at Automechanika Frankfurt 2016

Both myself (Barry) and my wife Angela walked over 7 miles on our first day alone, and that was just within the exhibitors halls. The "small" German beer definitely went down well at lunchtime, that’s for sure!

This year we were again very excited at looking into new product ranges and cementing relationships with old and potential new suppliers.

It’s rare that you get the opportunity to bring together and meet suppliers from the UK, Europe, China, Taiwan, Australia & USA to name a few. And all this under one roof, well 11 roofs!

It was a great opportunity to look at new trends in the market and new products. Some of which we hope to launch in the forthcoming months. we will of course keep you updated with any new product developments for your beloved Toyota 4x4.
